Nigeria’s construction technology ecosystem is heading toward another major industry gathering as ConTech Nigeria 2.0 prepares to bring architecture, engineering, construction, real estate and technology stakeholders together in Lagos on 21 November 2026.
The second edition will be held at Regal Hall, Oregun, Ikeja, under the theme “Creating Nigeria’s Playbook”, with the organisers positioning the event around local technology solutions, global standards and the practical adoption of technology across the built environment.
From Construction Technology to a Nigerian Playbook
ConTech Nigeria's 2026 programme is structured around four principal tracks:
Design & BIM
Construction Technology
Sustainability
Policy & Investment
The programme also identifies technologies including Building Information Modelling (BIM), reality capture, drone surveying, prefabrication, embedded systems, IoT sensors, robotics, project controls, site monitoring, modern construction methods and digital twins.
The event's stated objective goes beyond showcasing technology. Its programme focuses on questions around adoption, capital, skills, governance, standards and how technology can address persistent problems in Nigerian construction.
AI, BIM and Digital Workflows Take Centre Stage
The programme includes sessions examining AI, BIM, data and automation as components of the next construction workflow.
Other scheduled discussions cover construction costs and manufacturing, project documentation, procurement, construction finance, investor expectations, startup validation, pricing and scaling.
A dedicated “Bankable by Design” session is also scheduled to examine construction finance, procurement and what lenders and investors expect from technology-enabled built-environment businesses. An investor clinic will focus on angel capital for the built environment.
This places ConTech within a broader shift from viewing construction technology simply as software to considering the full ecosystem required to develop, finance, adopt and scale technology within construction.
AEC Professionals and Technology Founders in the Same Room
ConTech Nigeria says the event is designed to bring together AEC professionals, developers, investors, technology founders, policymakers and academics.
The organisers' current event information lists 2,500+ expected attendees, 30+ expert speakers and 10+ startups. The event is also advertised as free to register.
The audience cuts across the construction value chain, including architects, engineers, contractors, project managers, developers, investors, software developers and technology companies.
Why Contractors and Developers Should Pay Attention
BIM is moving into project delivery: The event's focus on digital design, coordination and modelling reflects increasing attention to how digital information is managed across project stages.
Construction software is becoming a project-management issue: Project controls, site monitoring, digital documentation and collaboration tools can affect how project information is captured and managed.
AI is entering the construction workflow: The programme specifically places AI, BIM, data and automation within discussions about the future construction workflow.
Capital is becoming part of the ConTech conversation: The inclusion of construction finance, investor expectations and bankability connects technology adoption with access to capital.
Local adaptation remains central: The event's stated positioning is “Local solutions, global standards”, reflecting an emphasis on technology developed or adapted around Nigerian construction conditions rather than technology adoption for its own sake.
Nomarc Market Signal
The next phase of Nigerian ConTech is shifting from technology awareness toward adoption, financing and implementation.
The significance of ConTech Nigeria 2.0 is therefore not limited to the technologies being demonstrated. Its programme brings together the technology, capital, standards, skills and project-delivery questions that determine whether construction technology moves from a product demonstration into actual project use.
For contractors, developers and professional practices, the emerging market is broader than construction software. It includes BIM, digital twins, reality capture, drones, robotics, IoT-enabled site monitoring, prefabrication and digital project controls.
For Nigerian technology companies, the emphasis on local problems and global standards also points toward a market where the ability to solve specific project-delivery challenges may become as important as the underlying technology itself.
