The Enugu State Government is using its digital Project Meter platform to provide public visibility into the status of government infrastructure projects across the state.
Data on the platform updated on 15 September 2026 shows 341 projects currently listed, comprising 230 active or on-track projects and 111 completed projects.
The projects cover multiple infrastructure categories, including roads, schools and other public works. Listed projects include sections of the New Enugu City road network, road projects in Awkunanaw and New Haven, and the Owo-Ubahu-Amankanu-Neke-Ikem road corridor.
Several projects on the platform have projected completion dates extending into 2027, including road projects with a target date of 5 May 2027.
Digital Monitoring of Public Infrastructure
The platform provides project-level information that can give contractors, suppliers, investors and other stakeholders greater visibility into the state's infrastructure pipeline and implementation status.
The development also points to a broader shift toward digitising public infrastructure monitoring, allowing project information to be organised and updated through a central platform rather than relying solely on periodic government announcements.
For contractors and suppliers, greater visibility into project status can support pipeline monitoring, procurement planning and market intelligence, particularly where project information includes implementation timelines and locations.
